The greenbelt of mixed forest plantation in Farm Chokchai (Figure 6) is also a natural tool for reducing air pollution generated from livestock and vehicles along the Friendship Highway. The regenerated forest also helps reduce intense heat from global warming. 76 THE ASIA REGIONAL FORUM ON BIODIVERSITY Conclusion Reforestation with mixed transplanting to strengthen biodiversity conservation using indigenous and exotic species on the northeastern plateau inside Chokchai Farm, Pakchong District, Nakorn Ratchasima Province that began in 1994 has now developed into a recreation park for ecotourism inside the farmland. The mixed forest plantation provides a broad spectrum of benefits that not only supports ecotourism, but also protects and conserves environment and the ecology of the farmland. Although this implementation is small scale, it may provide inputs into action plans for reforestation in other areas.
