For treatment 4 (T4), the vetiver grass was planted in two circles, one surrounding the other. The inner circle with a 60-centimeter radius had 55 vetiver grass surrounding the trees, while the outer circle with a 100-centimeter radius had 85 vetiver grass surrounding the inner circle. The inner circle was covered with 10 kilograms of mulching materials and the area between the inner and outer circles was covered with 20 kilograms of mulching materials (see Figure 6). Figure 6. Treatment 4 (T4), of the experiment. For treatment 5 (T5), the vetiver grass was planted in two circles, one surrounding the other. The inner circle had a 60-centimeter radius with 55 vetiver grass surrounding the trees and the outer circle with a 100-centimeter radius with 85 vetiver grass surrounding the inner circle. The inner circle was covered with 10 kilograms of mulching materials and the area between the inner and outer circles was covered with 20 kilograms of mulching materials. Two two-inch diameter 60-centimeter long pvc tubes of water and four 30-centimeter long tubes of air were buried in the inner circle. To increase income, agricultural and ornamental plants may be grown in the vetiver circle in treatments 2, 3, 4 and 5 (see Figure 7). Figure 7. Treatment 5 (T5), of the experiment.
