Biodiversity Festival (16th-22nd May) on the occasion of International Day for Biological Diversity - In December 2000, the United Nations General Assembly adopted 22 May as IDB (International Day for Biological Diversity), to commemorate the adoption of the text of the Convention on 22 May 1992 by the Nairobi Final Act of the Conference for the Adoption of the Agreed Text of the Convention on Biological Diversity. - Biodiversity Festival (16th-22nd May): We celebrated a Biodiversity Festival from 2013 to 2016 for awareness and conservation of Floral and Faunal diversity. Currently in its 42nd edition, the first Environment Day was celebrated in 1973.
