5 Abstract Changes in climate, land use and land cover (LULCC) in regional watersheds have caused significant negative effects on natural resources, environmental conditions and human well-being. These influences have contributed to severe watershed resource degradation nationwide in Thailand. Then, watershed rehabilitation measures were operated based on conservation principal and sustainability concept. The Research and Development on Watershed Ecosystem Administration and Management under Climate Change Condition: A Case Study for Sirindhorn International Environmental Park (SIEP) and Adjacent Areas focused on Integrated Watershed Ecosystem Management embracing Sirindhorn International Environmental Park (SIEP) and adjacent areas of Bangtranoi and Huaisai watersheds was proposed to gather the academic information of the watershed resources and assessing the variability under climate and land use change condition. The information of forest and water resources were investigated regarding watershed analysis concept. Principal findings showed that the Bangtranoi watershed site area was now 25.07 % forest while that of the Huaisai watershed had a forest cover of 34.03 %. Four forest types contribute to forest cover in these watersheds: deciduous forest (both mixed and dipterocarp), rehabilitation forest, beach forest (ecotonal) and mangrove. Good bird biodiversity was noted in forested areas. The annual water yield of Bangtranoi was 9.69 Million Cubic Meters (MCM) representing just 16.35 % of annual rainfall. Annual water yield for the Huaisai watershed was only 2.63 MCM, equating to 14.32 % of total annual rainfall. Water quantity was insufficient to support the demand. Water quality reached almost all standard values. Since watershed resources are strongly responsive to land use and climate changes, it is recommended that ecosystem based approaches, sensitive to people partnerships and participation, be adopted to help achieve sustainable and more conservation based (wise use) management practices. Key words: Watershed ecosystem, Forest resources, Climate change, Land use/land cover change (LULCC), Sirindhorn International Environmental Park (SIEP)
